The Burren Way, Western Ireland

Walk/trail: The Burren Way, (Blackhead loop) near Ballyvaughan and other farm tracks
Location: Ballyvaughan, County Clare, Western Ireland
Walk distance: I walked two miles, near Ballyvaughan, out and back, but the Burren Way consists of about 70 miles, much of which is pretty challenging footing
Highlights: We got amazing views of the ocean and landscape on our walk. The path was lined by stone walls, at least the section we traveled. We found easier footing on local farm tracks that offered stunning views as well. Remember to close the gate behind you!
