Walk/trail: Green Farm Conservation Park
Location: Green Farm Conservation Park in Gaithersburg, MD
Walk distance: I have only hiked the Broom Sedge Loop-Hadley Farms, which starts near the Hadley Farms Community Center and loops around a pond for about 0.75 miles. The trailhead is on the other side of the conservation park, with several longer trails and loops within the area.
Highlights: I enjoy this walk because it provides access to nature and solitude very close to my house and more developed areas. It's more of a regular escape than a special walk. It's mostly flat but requires a couple stream crossing balanced on stones, and I'm curious to see how the walk changes with the seasons.
