Lanikai Pill Box Hike, Hawaii

Walk/trail: Lanikai Pill Box hike, aka Kaiwa Ridge Trail
Location: Trail entrance is across from the Mid-Pacific County Club: 266 Kaelepulu Dr Kailula HI 96734. This is in the Lanikai area of Kailula. There are a few parking spots for the trail but it’s very popular and you’ll likely need to park on Aalapapa St and walk a short distance to the trailhead.
Walk distance: Roughly 1.8 miles total
Highlights: The trail does not loop. It’s roughly 1.8 miles total. The very start is steep but the majority of the hike is easy. Very narrow with steep sides in places along the ridge. A great view of the sunrise, ocean and unobstructed views all around. No facilities or shade.
