Grose Morne National Park, Canada
Walk contributed by: Marjorie Turner Hollman
Walk/trail: Gros Morne National Park-Western Brook Pond trail
Location: North of Norris Point, Western Newfoundland, Canada
Walk distance: 4 mile loop trail, packed crushed stone road to the pond
Highlights: The boat ride at Western Brook pond is what drew us to Newfoundland. This inland, fresh water fiord is truly stunning. When we visited, travelers had to walk the two miles in on a crushed stone road-- more handicapped accessible options may now be available. We found easier walking along some shoreline paths. We also found a handicapped accessible trail new Berry Pond, next to a park campground area.
